Common questions and answers

Do you take insurance?

Yes, we take many insurances that are common in our area. We take:

  • Aetna

  • BlueCross and BlueShield

  • Cigna and Evernorth

  • Coventry

  • HealthLink

  • Humana

We are not in-network for the following new marketplace plans:

  • Ambetter

  • Health Alliance

  • Blue Cross Community Health Plan

  • Molina

  • Meridian

  • Aetna Better Health

Do you take Medicaid or Medicare?

Unfortunately, we do not accept Medicaid, Medicare, or managed care plans like All Kids, Aetna Better Health, Meridian, Molina, or Illinicare.

Do you have a reduced rate if I don’t have insurance?

Yes. If a client is uninsured or unable to use insurance, we do offer a reduced cash rate to those who are unable to afford the full rate.

Where are you located?

We are located in Jerseyville at 116 W. Pearl St. Our location is very close to the Jersey County courthouse.

How frequent are counseling sessions?

We recommend new clients come in weekly in order to help build trust and rapport. As a client is meeting their therapeutic goals, we may start to reduce the frequency of sessions to once every other week. As a client nears completion, we will often start to stretch sessions to once a month until the client and therapist are both satisfied that the client’s therapeutic needs have been met.

Do you offer telehealth or virtual sessions?

Yes. We have a program through our documentation system that allows for safe and confidential telehealth sessions. All Restorative Solutions Counseling clinicians are licensed in the state of Illinois, which means that we are unable to provide telehealth to someone who is out of state (even if they are just out of state at the time of the session).

How do I get started with a counselor?

Give us a call on our main line at 618-310-3270 or email us using the “Contact Us” page. If you have a preference for a certain therapist, we would be happy to accommodate you. One of us at RSC will get back with you soon after you reach out to us.

How long will I be in therapy?

This is a tough question to answer because everyone’s journey is different. There are some clients who are in therapy for months, and there are some clients who stay with us for well over a year. We will typically recommend homework in the form of self-care, reflective journaling, discussions with a safe and trusted loved one, etc. When a client is doing this homework with the goal of overcoming their struggles outside of counseling, they may see results faster, but the time involved is different for every person. Truly, no two clients are alike.

Can I get started right away?

We would love to get people started with a counselor as soon as they need help. Unfortunately, we do have a waiting list. Clients who are available during the day tend to be able to get in to see a counselor faster than clients who are only available at 3:00 or later. The time on the waitlist varies according to how many people are currently on it. It is difficult to get an accurate estimate, but we will try to give you an idea of your wait time when you call.
